Visit to the Višnjan observatory

A group of students (12-14 years old) involved in the STEM Tech project and their teachers visited the observatory in Višnjan. With this, we realized all field classes and this last one was realized on December 12, 2023

Accompanied by a professional guide, the students took a tour of the observatory, where a professional lecture was held on the solar system, the planets, the Sun, the Milky Way galaxy and on the celestial bodies and asteroids for which this observatory in Višnjan is specialised in.

The students visited the dome which houses a telescope with integrated cameras connected to a computer, thus monitoring the night sky, using images taken at regular time intervals.
